នៅក្នុងពេលចូលជំរាបលាថ្ងៃនេះ លោកឯកអគ្គរដ្ឋទូតបានអរគុណលោកឧបនាយករដ្ឋមន្រ្តី និង រដ្ឋមន្រ្តីក្រសួងមហាផ្ទៃ ស ខេង ចំពោះកិច្ចសហប្រតិបត្តិការ និងភាពជាអ្នកដឹកនាំលើបញ្ហានានាជាច្រើនទាក់ទងនឹង សន្តិសុខ និងការអនុវត្តច្បាប់ ដោយរួមទាំងការស្វែងរក និងការបញ្ជូនត្រឡប់វិញ នូវជនជាតិអាមេរិកគេចខ្លួន ការប្រយុទ្ធប្រឆាំងនឹងទេសចរណ៍ផ្លូវភេទលើកុមារ ការជួញដូរមនុស្ស និងការបង្កើនការខិតខំក្នុងការប្រយុទ្ធប្រឆាំងនឹងការជួញដូរសត្វព្រៃ និងគ្រឿងញៀន។ លោកឯកអគ្គរដ្ឋទូត បានថ្លែងអំណរគុណចំពោះការខិតខំរបស់លោករដ្ឋមន្រ្តី ក្នុងការលើកកម្ពស់កិច្ចសហប្រតិបត្តិការលើការធ្វើមាតុភូមិនិវត្តន៍ពលរដ្ឋកម្ពុជាពីសហរដ្ឋអាមេរិក។ លោកថែមទាំងបានស្វាគមន៍ជំហានក្នុងពេលថ្មីៗនេះ របស់រដ្ឋាភិបាល ដោយរួមមានដំណើរការឡើងវិញនូវការធ្វើសហប្រតិបត្តិការទាក់ទងនឹងឈ្លើយសឹក និងទាហានបាត់ខ្លួន ហើយបានកត់សំគាល់ថា រយៈពេលប៉ុន្មានខែខាងមុខ នឹងមានសារៈសំខាន់សម្រាប់តម្រង់ទិសនៃទំនាក់ទំនងរវាងសហរដ្ឋអាមេរិក និងប្រទេសកម្ពុជា។ នៅក្នុងបរិបទនេះ លោកឯកអគ្គរដ្ឋទូតបានសុំអោយរដ្ឋាភិបាលអនុវត្តនូវវិធានការបន្ថែមទៀត នៅក្នុងការជំរុញការផ្សះផ្សាជាតិ និងបើកឡើងវិញនូវលំហនយោបាយ។

In a farewell call today, the Ambassador thanked Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Sar Kheng for his cooperation and leadership on a broad range of security and law enforcement matters, including locating and returning U.S. fugitives, combatting child sex tourism and human trafficking and intensifying efforts against wildlife and drug trafficking. The Ambassador expressed appreciation for the Minister’s efforts to improve cooperation on the repatriation of Cambodian citizens from the United States. He also welcomed recent steps taken by the government, including the resumption of POW-MIA cooperation, and noted that the next few months will be important for the direction of the U.S. – Cambodia relationship. In that context, he urged the government to take additional steps to promote national reconciliation and re-open the political space.
